Commercial Offices

Project credits gw architecture; Brian Wall the managing partner of Wolsey Wall Architecture & Interior Design operated in his capacity as the managing partner of GWA during the time of this project.

This project included a renovation of a heritage space to accommodate a the corporate office of the new branch location for the National Bank of Canada on Waterfront in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The redevelopment included the demolition, new design layout of the main, second, third and fourth floors taking the existing brick warehouse buildings elements but providing a modern code and functionality for a modern bank to practice from.

The design team worked closely with stakeholders from the National Bank of Canada through out the design and construction process while advocating the importance of heritage design elements of the building and how best to incorporate those into the modern design intent of the
National Bank of Canada programing. The end result was a dynamic but fluid contrast of modern and old that is prevalent within the Exchange District of Winnipeg.
